Hachiko

Let review a movie today. I personally hate a sad movie especially the one that can’t make me cry (Hindi movie usually, no offense). But if one movie can makes my tears drop without I unable to control it, I must say that movie are awesome. And one of that movie is Hachi: A Dog’s Tale.
Based on true story from japan, Hachiko is from akita inu breed dog who adopted by a college‘s professor. Every morning, Hachiko will walks with his master to a train station nearby, where his master will take a train to his college. After watching his master safely departs, he will return home and will come back again every evening waiting for his master return from work.
Hachiko and his master at the train station in the movie.

Sadly, one day the professor has a heart attack at the college and died. Didn’t know about his master death, Hachiko still waiting for his master return at the train station for several hours until the professor’s son-in-law come and pick him.
What makes me touched is, Hachiko come back to the train station next day and keep waiting there patiently hoping that the professor will return and they can walk home together. And he keeps waiting for the professor for the next nine years before he died.
The real Hachiko was born in Odate in 1923. After the death of his owner Hidesaburo Ueno in 1925, Hachiko returned to the Shibuya train station the next day and every day after that for the next nine years.
The real Hachiko.

The real Hachiko died in 8th March 1935. A bronze statue was built at the Shibuya train station as a dedication of his loyalty originally on April 1934, but been recycle for the war effort during World War II. The second statue was built on August 1948 and still stand until today.
 The Hachiko bronze statue.

p/s: I highly recommended this movie for you.

The real Hachiko (stuffed) in the National Science Museum in Ueno.

Chicharito is a muslim?

Most of you who love Man U should know about this guy. Javier Hernandez or his nickname is Chicharito which means little pea in Spanish. If you see him before the kick-off, he will be on his knee and praying in a posture similar to a Muslim praying.
I thought he was a Muslim back then but apparently he is not. According to trustworthy source, he is a catholic. Apparently, some catholic do pray in this posture too. Hmmm. Wallahua’lam…
p/s: may Allah give him hidayah. Amin.

Joseph Edouard Gaetjens

Joseph Edouard Gaetjens or simply known as Joe Gaetjens is one of the famous icon in America’s football history. He is born in Haiti to Haitian mother and German father was a Haitian soccer player who played for US national team in the 1950 FIFA world cup in Brazil.
Joe Gaetjens had scored the winning goal in the famous 1950 US soccer team 1-0 win over England in the group stage. US national team are consider as an underdog with 500-1 chance of winning the tournament compared to 3-1 England’s chance to win it.
But, Joe Gaetjens was not an American citizen at that time and he actually never did gain the citizenship until he died in 1964 at the age 40. What a shame….
P/s: back then, citizenship is NOT A MUST to represent a certain country. A player also can play for more than one national team as Joe Gaetjens also play for Haiti in 1953.

Who-Tounge

Are you ever in debt? I’m sure every one of you has been in debt before. My mom always advised me to avoid from lending money to a friend or borrowing some from a friend in whatever circumstances. She said, money can cause a friend becomes enemy and I totally agree with her. For me, if I really in need of money and I don’t have any other option except for borrowing from my friend, I will make sure I pay back my debt as soon as I can. I can’t live thinking about I have debt with somebody. It is like an unfinished work which will haunt me in my sleep. But sadly, a very few people around me have shared my philosophy. Most of them enjoy living in debt.
I’m not blaming them though. If you look back, most of the businesses done around you nowadays are in debt or in more convenience terms, by loan or credit system. You buy your car, your house, your furniture, even your hand phone by loan now. Not just that, you can buy anything, I mean anything like groceries, foods at restaurant, shirts and a lot more using debt card (not debit card). Yup, debt card or in manner way, it is called credit card. Whatever they call it, the fact is you actually buy things by debt.
This whole credit system does have its advantages if you know how to use it. For example, you can use your credit card for emergency. Like your car involve in an accident and your pay day are not gonna come soon, you can use your credit card to pay first. But still, the advantages are very few if compared to disadvantages of this system.
So, back to our main point, when you borrowed some money from your friend, you must keep in mind that your friend here just did you a big favor. So, return their favor by keeping your promise; pay back whenever you promised you want to pay it back. If you borrow today and you promise to pay it back tomorrow, make sure you pay it back tomorrow. Don’t make your friend look like a loan shark; have to call you every day asking for their money. The bad guy here is you, not them.
Don’t give any excuse because your excuse not gonna pay any debt for you. Your friend doesn’t want your excuses; they just want their money back!!! My advice, before you lending or borrowing some money, keep this in mind; “senyum pinjam senyum bayar, kalau tak bayar you mati pon senyum jugak”.
P/s: free yourself from debt by live an affordable life. Peace.

The Man Who Eat 25000 BigMac

This evening after maghrib, for the first time after a quite a long time I go to BHarian website. I learn a few things that I’m sure most of you already know a few days advanced from me. I even just know about Osama been killed by Obama!! But I don’t want to write about that. Some people say these are just propaganda about this whole America and global terrorism. And I even watch about a theory about Osama was a CIA agent back then in youtube early this year. Well, no comment really.
Okay, back to the main idea of this post. While I browsing through BHarian.com, I found one article about a man who just ate his 25000th McDonald’s BigMac in 17th May 2011. His name is Don Gorske, born in 28th November 1953 and start eating BigMac since 17th May 1972. That’s mean he eating BigMac for 39 years now!! And he didn’t die yet!!!!
When I thought about a man who ate 25000 BigMac in 39 years, the first image came out of my mind is a big, fat, and slow man who doesn’t have life. But when I googled up his image, well see for yourself (at the bottom). And what makes it more interesting, according to Wikipedia (he even has his own wiki site!!!), his first doctor visit since 1985 is in 26th April 2011. Despite a diet some would call unhealthy, Gorske says he keeps himself in good shape. He says he’s 6-foot-2 and weighs 185 pounds, and walks as many as 10 miles a day. (So, who says burgers are unhealthy????).
Since 1972, Don Gorske ate BigMac nearly every day except eight days including the day his mother died back in 1988. According to my calculation, he ate 25000 burgers in sharp 39 years, that’s mean he ate 25000 BigMac in 14237 days (minus the eight days). That’s nearly 2 BigMac perday (1.755 to be accurate).
He also claims that he drinks almost nothing but coca-cola. You also can find him in imdb website because he had appeared in two documentary films as himself in 2004 (Super Size Me) and 2005 (Don Gorske: Mac Daddy).

Hypocrite

Salam. Thank you for those who are following my blog. I really appreciate it. For today’s post, I would like to make a list of the most hypocrite situation in my daily life. It may be the same with a lot of you out there, so enjoy….
The most hypocrite situation among the boys:
  • Condemn the free hair girls, about how they expose their aurats by doing so but did you notice that you are wearing shorts to mamak, watching football match every weekend?
  •  Wants a future wife who wear hijab, who take care of her and her family dignity, beautiful, fair, knows how to make a husband happy, long story shorted, you want a perfect wife, but look at you…. Are your characteristics even matching half of the characteristics you want from your future wife? Don’t think so.
  • When you are around your friend, you become Simon Cowell, criticize every people walking pass your group but when you are with your girlfriend, suddenly you became a very shy and polite person, doesn’t even dare to pull up your chin.
While among the girls:
  •  Label boys as a pervert when you caught them staring at you but did you notice what you wearing today? Short skirt? Tight jeans? And did you aware what kind of picture did you uploaded on your FB? Are you sure your clothes doesn’t too ‘poking-the-eyes’?
  •  You claim people who not wearing a hijab (free-hair) as low dignity but even though you wearing one, did you notice that you wear a tight jeans and shirts, which expose your body curve? –which is also an aurat for muslimah?
  • You always wear Kurong to work, and you claim it is the characteristic of the real malay girls and also covering your aurats as a muslimah. True, but do you know that when you are around, all of sudden people around you will get a superpower? Really, they can see-through your Kurong directly to your skin and did you aware that your ‘kain’ had tear up to your knees?
  • When a boy save pictures of sexy models with bikini as his hand phone theme, he’ll be label as psycho, but when you put a topless picture of Rain as your FB profile picture, it’s ok.
Here is some more hypocrite situations occur around us:
  • You said you are an anti-jew, you refuse to eat at McDonald as it list as one of hundreds of company which support jews. But wait a minute, what is that? Isn’t it Colgate toothpaste? And you are a heavy smoker too!!!
  • You hate smokers. You said they didn’t love their own live and can cause people around them in danger too, but do you love yours? You drive like nuts which can cause you instant death. And you cause danger to people around you too!!!
  • As for my fiancĂ©, you always said that I put my work first before you. That’s true, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t love you; it’s all because your mother asked me RM50K for the ‘hantaran’!!!
P/s: I made up the last one.

Lay-Belled

Label. Did you ever been label before? I’m sure most of you have been labeled before. You can either been labeled as a good or as a bad label. What is a good label? And what is the bad label?
The good label is such ‘hardworking’, ‘loving father’, ‘discipline’ and much more. But ‘label’ is usually not refer to the good one. Most of the time you’ve been label as the bad label such ‘slut’, ‘racist’, ‘lazy’, ‘rapist’ and much more.
Usually you got your label when you do something that’s make people recognize you through your action. There are two ways to make people recognize your action. First, you just do it once and people just remember it forever. The thing you did should be memorable and huge; such as you jump out of a 70-storey building and live or, you assassinate some one important in your country. From those actions, you probably get label as invincible (good) and hitman (bad) or something else.
Second, you always do something that catches the eyes around you. For examples, when you always reading, you get labeled as book worm, or when you like to wear something sexy in public, people may label you as slut. There are actually some more ways that can make you been label. As example, your physical state. If you are short, you may be label as dwarf, or if you are stingy, you may be label as Mr Krab or something else.
Sometimes labeling people is a good thing such that people being motivated by his/her label, sometimes it doesn’t change anything but sometimes when you labeling people, you must beware because it can harm that individual or much worst, it can affect the society you live in.
For example, someone used to be a drug addict return to his/her hometown after being released and perhaps cured. We have been seeing this situation a lot in dramas or movies when the person labeled as drug addict return to his/her kampong, the villagers start to talk about it. Everybody from Makciks at the market, Pakciks at the warong and even kids at school talk about it. And then when something gone missing, villagers start to accused the drug addict without any hard evidence.
Sometimes this kind of people get their lesson after being bust once, sometimes it take more than once; may be twice, fourth or more but what I’m trying to say is someone bad not gonna be bad forever. We as a society must grouped together and unite to help and give this kind of guy a hope to change and become a better person in future, because after all, he/she is a part of our society. Don’t let our ego destroy somebody’s hope to be a changed man. Help him/her, don’t destroy him/her. Sure, he/she has done something wrong in his/her past but is there anybody who doesn’t? You couldn't change the past, but the future could be a different story. And it had to start somewhere.
