The next Dato' K (Rajagopal)?

Entering the year 2011, fellow Malaysian are ready to celebrate New Year like never before yet once again. Last year, during the same time, Malaysia national football team gave 28,250,000 Malaysians (according to wiki) something that they’ll never forget. A gold medal from 2009 Laos sea games; beating the four times finalist (in a row), Vietnam at the final by one goal to nil. What makes the victory even sweeter; the squad had knocked out 8 times defending champion, Thailand in the group stage. Also, Harimau Malaya was beaten by Vietnam by three goals to one earlier in group stage, so it is a sweet revenge from K. Rajagopal’s boys.
Harimau Malaya starts the tournament in style when they beat the new formed country, Timor Leste by eleven goals without a reply. With that victory, Malaysia ends up 20 years SEA Games football gold medal drought!!!
This year, Harimau Malaya once again likely to repeat last year successful history when tonight, they will face Indonesia away from home with three goals lead from the first leg home victory at National Stadium Bukit Jalil last Sunday. Although with three goals lead, it will never be easy for the team. We have very bitter memories when came to facing Indonesia in this tournament. Did you remember the 2004 tournament (known as Tiger Cup by that time)? Malaysia enter the 2nd leg at home with confident after beating Indonesia 2-1 away. Malaysia even scored the first goal in the home game before Indonesia went rampage and scored 4 goals to crush the Malaysians dreams.
If Rajagopal’s wonder boys could defend the lead tonight, Malaysia’s revenge will be paid in style because they don’t just humiliate Indonesia at home, but also can lift the trophy at rival’s stance. It’s like waving our flag in the enemy’s territory during a war!!! But, just like I said earlier, it won’t be easy, plus they already beat us at their home 5-1 in the opening day. So, be careful and good luck. We were proud of you no matter what the result tonight!!
P/s: just open the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 website and see our knockout stage hero, Mohd Safee list as the tournament top scorer with four goals and counting.
The last time we enter the final was in the first edition of Tiger Cup, lost 1-0 to Thailand in Singapore back in 1996.
Only three nations had won this title, Thailand and Singapore had won three times respectively, while Vietnam had won once in previous tournament.
Indonesia never won the tournament but enter the final for the fourth times already. So, they are desperate to win as much as we do.
If we win tonight, K. Rajagopal deserves to be Dato’ perhaps? Shah Rukh Khan who had never done anything to Malaysia had been given the title, why don’t give it to someone who makes Malaysia’s Football Team a threat again?
He also makes Malaysia qualified to the second round in 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games after 32 years!!!

FINAS

Sekali sekala, jom kita ushar revolusi filem kat Malaysia...
Tan Sri P.Ramlee- Lakonan spontan tanpa skrip. Filem2nya menjadi ikon perfileman industry filem tempatan sampai sekarang. Tak ada lagi filem yang Berjaya menandingi filem2 seperti Madu 3, Bujang Lapok, Masam2 Manis, Ahmad Albab, 3 Abdul dan banyak lagi.
Ingat tak filem2 lakonan Mr Os, Salih Yaakob, Hamid Ghurka and da geng? Aku xpati sangat siapa director famous masa ni, tapi mesti ada yang ingat  filem2 seperti Awang Spanar, Dr Os (xpasti tajuk, tapi cerita Os buka klinik tu), Ali Setan, pastu filem hantu komedi ala-ala Zombi Kampung Pisang tu (yang ada babak hantu alihkan tempat tidur sorang laki ni ke pokok pisang n rumah anak dara tu..). filem zaman ni pon boleh tahan gak, cuma jarang siar kat TV. So, orang pon dah banyak lupa.
Sebelum tu, jangan dok buat lupa kat mamu kita, Prof Razak Mohaideen yang Berjaya menarik minat rakyat Malaysia mengenali loghat utara melalui filem2 anak maminya.

A 'dead' daughter calling her father.

“IPOH: Twenty-seven people were killed when their bus hit a divider and overturned on its way down from Cameron Highlands in what is possibly the worst road accident in Malaysian history.” – The Star online.
The tragedy happens on 20th December 2010 at 11.40 am. One of the victims, Areena Songserm identified died by the authorities. So, her family members went to the Raja Permaisuri Hospital mortuary to claim the body.
While on the way, Nasir Ismail, Areena’s father got a phone call. And guess who’s calling? Her dead daughter!!!! :-O!
Relax, there is no ghost, just a mix-up in name list of the 27 killed in the accident. But, try to imagine a person you thought was already dead call you in the middle of a night?

Real-Itchy

Who watched Mari Menari? Well, i don’t. Nope, actually i watched it few hours ago. So, my very first thought came out of my mind was, it’s quite similar to Sehati Berdansa.
From my point of view, Sehati Berdansa was such a waste of time, but they have two things that make it quite relevant to watch. First, they have Malaysian Celebrities as participants. Second, they make the show as a charity show (even though i think it is not appropriate).
But, Mari Menari doesn’t have both. So, if i said Sehati Berdansa was such a waste of time, Mari Menari even worse. Why should i waste my time watching an amateur dancing while i can watch Do You Think You Can Dance which was far more interesting? You see, that is the different between reality show in Malaysia and in USA. We used the same theme, singing or dancing, but the talent produced are so different.
In Malaysia, the products produced by reality show are more based on popularity (jambu face) rather than talent. So, you can see why most of them will magically disappear after the show end. While in US, the talent survive longer because they do have an amazing talent beside their cool style.
Some will say, our country way too small from their country, so, we don’t have enough talent to produce. So, if we don’t have enough talent, why do we produce way too many reality shows based on the same theme? Just based on singing, we have AF, Mentor, One in a million, My Star LG and a few more. Do we really need that much singer in our industry? Does these ‘star’ actually help our dying music industry? I don’t think so. I rather listen to indie’s...
Why don’t we make more reality shows with our own image? Imam Muda was a success. Even foreign television broadcast was attracted to come and interviewed the participants of this reality show.
Sometimes we thought our cultures are so “outdated” and we try to catch-up by following western culture, but what we don’t know are the fact that a lot of western peoples are amazed by our unique cultures which is ashamed by it’s own peoples.

Kicked Ass!!!

The only super power i have is being invisible to girls. That quote comes from the Kick-Ass movie. Other than awesome phrase, this movie also has an outstanding story line. This movie is about an ordinary teenage boy, dreams to become a superhero.
So, he bought some superhero-ish costume online and called himself Kick-Ass. As he tried to fight smaller crime and solve simpler case such find missing cats, he had no ideas that there are other superheroes in town.
From finding missing cats, Kick-Ass had cluelessly involved in a conflict between a mafia-like drug dealer syndicate and a local father-daughter pair of superheroes.
If i’m not mistaken, this movie was out early of this year and rated as high as 8.1/10 from imdb website (just checked it before i typed this sentence). If you want to watch something different from other superheroes movies, i’m highly recommended this movie to you.
p/s: Kick-Ass movie really a kick ass movie!!!

cikshidadariparit

Do you know cikgu shida or cik shida or shida dari parit? If you have a FB account (of course you do) or you like to watch videos from youtube, surely you already heard about her.
For those who don’t know her yet, she’s quite popular in FB and youtube through her home made miming videos of a few popular songs.
So, what do you think about her? Some of my friends think she’s funny, some annoyed, some don’t even care. What bout me? Not important.
I recently visit to her youtube profile and read some info about her. Well, believe it or not, she’s 38 now. I thought she’s not even 30 yet. But that’s not the point. I write this post because I don’t have better thing to do and i’m bored. So, i check my FB account, i found one of miming clips produced by her, posted by one of my friend. Then i go to you tube side and search for a few more.
After watching some of her videos, here is my rating. Creativity, i’ll give her 6/10. Funny level, 2/10. The X-factor 0/10. Level of self confident 9/10 (not many people out there dare to do something that possibly humiliated themselves including me).
Moral of the story, you should do whatever you like, as long as it not opposed to your religion views or law. Don’t care about what people talk about you. People will talk, no matter what you do. So, fcuk them, who cares? Right?

Purrr-FACT

Nobody is perfect. But everyday we learn about perfection. For what? Everybody wants to be perfect even though they know the fact that they can’t. But learning towards perfection is not a bad thing though.
Have you ever in a situation where you’re on top of your performance? You have to keep your performance at the same high level as yesterday or even better but no excuse if you drop it. Quite a pressure eh?
When you produce one kick-ass product, which is the best among the best, no doubt you will be famous. But the problem is, are you able to produce the better product in the future? Well, people will expect you to do so. What if you try to produce another, but screw up big time? So, if you doesn’t have any guts to challenge yourself but want to end up as a famous and successful person, what will you do? Easy, retire after one big success. You will be remembered as a legend forever....
Just imagine, what will happen to Arsene Wenger who led arsenal to win the unbeaten title in season 2003/04 if he resigned just afterwards? What if Schumichael (am I spell it right?) resign before he defeated by Alonso? What if Maradona doesn’t take the job as the Argentina’s coach? Of course they didn’t, and they still are the living legends, but what if they did?
